Handsome British actor Neil Jackson, star of BBC drama Upstairs, Downstairs and Make it or Break It (E4) is in the UK from 25th March 2011 for 3 weeks and available for interviews.

His star would appear to be on the ascendancy on both sides of the Atlantic. He played the romantic lead of chauffeur Harry Spargo in the revival of the popular period drama Upstairs, Downstairs broadcast by the BBC as three one-hour episodes over Christmas. The DVD is released on 7th Feb 2011 and available on i-tunes.

Neil currently stars in Make It or Break It a US television drama series that focuses on the lives of teen gymnasts who strive to make it to the Olympic Games. It premiered on ABC in June 2009 with 2.5 million viewers; the show is now in its 2nd season and airs on E4 in the UK.

In addition to acting, Neil is a noted and talented writer. His has already written two films “The Passage” starring Neil and Stephen Dorff released in 2008 and “Star Crossed” in 2009 and has three other projects in development (two British TV dramas and a feature film).

Neils varied career includes credits in US shows such as CSI Miami, FlashForward, Stargate: Atlantis and Blade: The Series. British dramas include Sugar Rush with Lenora Crichlow, The Last Detective and Silent Witness. Films include Alexander with Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie, Quantum of Solace, and more recently Push with Chris Evans and Camilla Belle and the Woody Allen movie You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, starring Anthony Hopkins and Naomi Watts.

 

 

Off-screen Neil has a passion for fitness and was once Cherie Blair’s personal fitness instructor. Neil was a competitive amateur boxer for years prior to his acting and has a degree in Sport and Human Movement and an Msc in Coaching Science. Although Neil’s main focus is his acting he continues to endure a dedicated and tough training routine in his free time which includes running, boxing, yoga and snowboarding and he holds an Open Water scuba diving license.

His talents do not stop there as Neil trained in dance at Dance Works in London and is also a talented and enthusiastic Guitarist and songwriter.

Neil Jackson has been a patron of the Charity Trust PA for several years, a charity close to his heart, as it was set up in memory of his friend Paul Andre who was paralyzed from the next down. The charity is dedicated to providing funding for and raising awareness of spinal injuries.
