Ones To Watch

The Vegemite Tales

Back once again, Melanie Tait's The Vegemite Tales, depicts life in an Antipodean flat share in London and will certainly keep our Aussie friends entertained throughout the summer.

Think Friends and you're somewhere to getting the plot. Well, to be honest there isn't really much a plot. The show merely focuses on the lives of six west London flat-mates and a frequent visitor - all but one from Australia - who work, booze, party and cavort in their chaotically organised flat.

Still, it's entertaining and will particularly appeal to those who love all things Oz including Neighbours - two of the cast - Jonathon Dutton and Blair McDonough - hail from that ever-popular soap. The comedy also includes several hilarious video clips including one where Sam's (Andrew Robb) mother begs her son to return home.

Tait and director Bill Buckhurst have a winning formula and it is certain that this fun show which began life in the Old Red Lion pub is likely to return for more summers to come.
