The Screen Nation Film and TV Awards 2007

To be presented on Monday 15th October at Hilton London, Metropole Hotel, London, W2 1JU

The ceremeony will be hosted by Josie D’Arby and Colin Salmon

The Screen Nation Film & TV Awards is Europe’s only international celebration of Black achievement in Film and TV.

The 2007 Outstanding Contribution to Film & TV Award is presented to actor Morgan Freeman, while British Broadcast legend Moira Stuart is to be honoured with the Edric Connor Inspiration Award.

Thandie Newton (The Pursuit of Happyness and Norbit) faces Naomie Harris (Pirates of the Caribbean), Sophie Okenodo (Scenes of a Sexual Nature) and Claire-Hope Ashitey (Children of Men) in the Female Performance in Film Award.
      
Ashley Walters (Life & Lyrics), Adrian Lester (Scenes of a Sexual Nature), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Inside Man) and David Oyelowo (The Last King of Scotland) have all been nominated in the Male Performance in Film Category.

June Sarpong (also nominated in the Presenting category), Trisha Goddard, Jocelyn Jee-Esien and Freema Agyeman will battle it out in the Favourite Female TV star category. US stars Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty), Jamie Foxx (Dreamgirls/Miami Vice), Will Smith (The Pursuit of Happyness) and Djimon Honsu (Blood Diamond) have also received nominations.

Now in its fifth year and firmly established on the awards circuit, the star studded ceremony will once again be hosted by TV presenter Josie D’Arby and Bond actor Colin Salmon.
