The Mercury Prize Awards 2008
Lauren Laverne presented this year's prestigious Mercury Prize for the best UK album of the year live from the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday 9th September.
The 12 nominated Albums of the year, by British and Irish artists are announced in July with the overall winner of the Prize decided on the night of the Awards show in September. The Mercury Prize Awards was televised on BBC Two, at 10:00pm.
