National Television Awards 2008
The National Television Awards, now in its 14th year, was the most talked about showbiz event on the celebrity calendar. This year’s show was broadcast live on ITV1, 8pm on the 29th October 2008 from the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore SW7.
All the favourite categories were back this year including Most Popular Drama, Most Popular Serial Drama, Most Popular Comedy Programme and of course the Special Recognition Award
X Factor judge Simon Cowell won the special recognition award and joked that he was gutted to lose out to Strictly Come Dancing.
David Tennant, won an outstanding drama performance gong for his role as the Time Lord, then announced he was quitting.
