British R&B diva Estelle scooped the Best UK Female Award trumping Leona Lewis and adding this to her 2004 Best Newcomer MOBO Award. Estelle also beat a strong field of contenders for the Best Song category for the classic American Boy.

It was also a night of celebration for Leona Lewis who picked up Best Album for multi-million selling Spirit as well as Best Video for Bleeding Love.

British rap star Dizzee Rascal was voted second year running as Best UK Male in the face of stiff competition from Jay Sean.
