The BRIT Awards kicked off in spectacular style at London's Earls Court. Hosted by rock'n'roll royalty The Osbournes, 2008's ceremony celebrated the very best in British and International music.

Notorious for their eclectic and unexpected duets, The BRITs featured no less than three surprise collaborations. Mika's opening performance saw him invite Gossip leadsinger Beth Ditto on stage, while good girl gone bad Rihanna teamed up with nu rave pioneers Klaxons. Mark Ronson presented not one but three guest vocalists, taking to the stage with ADELE, Daniel Merriweather and Amy Winehouse.

In a very special live appearance, Amy sang 'Love Is A Losing Game', closing the glam stage, which previously saw Leona Lewis perform her smash hit 'Bleeding Love' and Kylie sing her brand new single 'Wow'. Following Rihanna and Klaxons unique collaboration on the punk stage, Kaiser Chiefs recreated the New York skyline for their performance of 'Ruby'.

Outstanding Contribution to Music winner Paul McCartney closed the evening with a medley of hits including 'Dance Tonight', 'Live & Let Die' and 'Hey Jude'.
