CNN International have announced the launch of a new half-hour monthly movie show, ‘The Screening Room’ - hosted by Myleene Klass.

Premiering on Friday 30 March at 6.30pm, ‘The Screening Room’ offers a compelling international perspective on the world of film; with Myleene travelling around the globe to bring viewers the inside track on all aspects of the movie business.

‘The Screening Room’ features a mix of revealing insights, intelligent interviews and on-location reporting from film festivals and red-carpet events. From independent and world cinema to blockbusters and documentaries, each month ‘The Screening Room’ offers movie news, reviews and global charts. Guests on the first show include Lauren Bacall, Samuel L. Jackson and Cate Blanchett. There is also a feature on the future of African films with Danny Glover, Djimon Hounsou and Leonardo DeCaprio.

On her first solo presenting role, Myleene Klass said: "I’m overwhelmed to be part of something so groundbreaking for CNN - the network’s first movie show. CNN has kudos and gravitas all over world, and that strong brand will ensure that I will get the very best interviews. One thing is for sure, if I wasn’t part of ‘The Screening Room’, I’d be glued to my seat watching it!"

Each show explores the art of the world's most talented actors, directors, composers and screenwriters. It will also travel to essential film festivals: from L.A. to London, Tokyo to Tribeca, Sydney to Sundance. Plus ‘The Screening Room’ covers in-depth features ranging from animation, documentaries and short films to issues such as the perils of piracy.
