With the recent media hype surrounding ITVs ‘Im a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here‘, it has been almost too easy to forget that BIG BROTHER 2003 is about to hit our screens once again. The 4th series of the hit Reality TV series is to start on Friday 23rd May. The contestants for this year are being kept top secret and will not be announced until Davina McCall introduces them to us next Friday.
Past contenders of the programme have now gone onto launch careers in the entertainment industry after appearing on the show.
Perhaps the most successful of the exhibitionists have emerged from series BIG BROTHER 2 and 3.
Brian Dowling winner of the 2001 show has gone onto present the popular Sat Morning show, SM: TV. He joined the team in January 5th and has proved to be the perfect comical asset.
Former 2002 winner, Kate Lawler who made it as the first female winner within the British shows history, has gone onto land jobs as a presenter both on our screens and on radio. She is currently a co-presenter on Channel 4s breakfast show; RISE and also hosts ‘Hit Music Sunday‘ on London‘s Capital Radio, alongside Andi Peters.
BIG BROTHER 2 also gave us the much-loved romance between bubbly blonde Helen Adams and Pop Star wannabe Paul Clarke. Since that legendary meal they shared in the house the couple are still together happily sharing a flat in High Bartnet, North London, lets hope BIG BROTHER 4 will bring us more will-they-wont-they romantic action.
Last years series undeniably had the whole country glued to their television sets by the shocking antics of Jade Goody. No one could have predicted the scenes that were to be witnessed. The ex dental nurse from Bermondsey, South London had no problem being filmed in front of the cameras. The episode where Jade took ALL her clothes off will no doubts go down in BIG BROTHER history. Although Jade wasn‘t always the most popular in the house she has since undertaken a major reinvention of herself and is now having to combine pregnancy with her burgeoning showbiz career. Jade and her TV presenter boyfriend Jeff Brazier are expecting their child in June.
