Justin Timberlake has undoubtedly become one of the few artists who deserves the title of Superstar. He has become a Multi Platinum recording phenomenon. The 21 year old, who first appeared on our wavelengths in pop group NSYNC has reinvented himself into a multi-millionaire pop hunk. Mums all over the world are calling out for him as much as their fanatical offspring.
Mention the name Justin Timberlake two years ago and one would have previously thought of the young fresh faced boy that accompanied Britney Spears on the red carpets, not anymore. Justin Timberlake has distinctly become the new Michael Jackson of pop. He has a certain appeal that has been marketed based on an extremely clever and cautious campaign. Justin has got it all. Apart from the obvious good looks, he actually has created music that manages to merge elements of a variety of genres. His album generates mixtures of rock, R&B, hip-hop, blues and country.
At just 21 years old he has come along way. "Justified" is a solo album to be proud of not just because it has soared in the charts but because Justin himself co-wrote 13 tracks, proving that he‘s not just a pretty face but a smooth songwriter too. Success of the album is partially due to hit making team The Neptune‘s who produced seven of the songs.
Since ‘Justified‘ was released in the UK in November 2002 it has reached the number 1 spot three times so far. Justin‘s first single ‘Like I Love You‘ crashed into the charts at number 2 in October 2002, the second single released ‘Cry Me A River‘ debuted at number 2.
Not just satisfied with his unstoppable pop career he is also signed as a special correspondent to cover sports for both TNT and TBS TV networks in the stats. This new post will find Timberlake reporting from a number of sports events, including the National Basketball Association season, the NASCAR car racing season, the PGA golf Championships and college football.
Back to the music though and more to the point Justin‘s sell-out UK tour which concluded last Friday. The success has been so exhausting that he has announced a return; we are to be graced again with the babe magnet in November. Tickets for this will go on sale Saturday 24th May, and will no doubt have fans all round the country fighting for the best seats.
Another treat Justin has for us is the forthcoming MTV Movie Awards, where he will be co-hosting the event alongside American Pie star Sean William Scott. The dynamic duo should provide a pulse-racing show which will be held at the Los Angeles‘ Shrine Auditorium on May 31. We can look forward to it on June 6 when it will be broadcast in the UK.
The man who says he can ‘Rock Your Body‘ really does seem to have broken the boundaries and made the ultimate transition from being one-fifth of a cheesy boy band into a sexy and sassy solo artist.
One can definitely be justified in saying that he has got that X factor and be sure to know that Justin Timberlake is the man of the moment.
