Scott Henshall

20 October 2004

Scott Henshall has been dominating Red Carpet moments in London since 1998 when at 22 he became the youngest designer  to show during London Fashion Week.

Since then, he has been garnering media attention as the designer of choice for London’s It Girls & media hungry celebrities. In 2000 he won the Vidal Sassoon Award for Cutting Edge Talent.

After dressing Jodie Kidd in a web of Lace for the Spiderman premiere in June 2002, his outfits hit the world stage. From that moment, his dresses, described by the fashion editor Hilary Alexander as ‘Message Dressing’ have had front-page coverage. His client lists a celebrity roll call including Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton, Iman, Samantha Mumba and Kylie Minogue.

During 2000 & 2001 Scott was chosen by Mulberry as their creative Director to revamp their English Country Spirit. Ransacking the archives he produced luxury items in keeping with his mantra ‘luxury is the necessity where necessity ends’.

His themes of luxury & revisiting the past for inspiration continue to flourish in his latest collaboration with Japanese mega brand, Abahouse – ‘Revisitation by Scott Henshall’ has sixteen stores and over one hundred stockists in Japan. Scott designs and oversees four collections a year as well as the advertising and store development.

Scotts by Scott Henshall for Littlewoods is his first foray into the high street and launched for A/W 03/04, the Scotts line is at the front of Littlewoods advertising programme.

Scott is currently collaborating with novelist Tyne O’Connell on a book that exploits both their talents - a witty of-the-moment pictorial chronicle, “The indiscretions of a London It Girl”.
