Alison Bell

22 November 2004

In July this year, the freelance broadcaster Alison Bell was involved in a tabloid scandal here in the UK, which reverberated around the world.  The resulting media mayhem dramatically affected her life and work.

The outcome - no charges were laid and no further action was taken in her case.  She was not guilty of any of the accusations made so publicly by a papparazzi photographer.  The entire episode was a media concoction - a wrong place, wrong time, with the wrong person scenario!

In light of those events - Alison decided a re-think of her career was necessary.  She is still working for the London based news and talk radio station LBC and the door is not closed to further assignments with CNN.

However it became apparent to her that other options were now available and as a result - Globell Media was born!

Her global media training business has already developed opportunities in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and of course the UK.  She is working in conjunction with PR companies here in London, black empowerment partners in South Africa and major global companies in other countries.

In a strange twist of fate, the events of July have been of huge benefit to the new business.  Having experienced both sides of the coin, Alison has a unique selling proposition and an invaluable tool for teaching clients how to handle both good and bad publicity.

She also retains an unblemished record within the media industry, the respect of all her colleagues, access to invaluable global contacts and endless goodwill.

For further information, check out the website at www.globellmedia.com, which describes Alison‘s concept of media training.
