DONATELLA’S BACK – YOUNG, POSH…& PENNILESS
We first saw her as the 16-year-old spendaholic star of Young, Posh & Loaded in 2000, but Donatella Valentina is now older, wiser…and penniless! New ITV show Young, Posh & Penniless follows her as she gets to work at the Roll Inn Motel, a truck drivers’ stop over and café in Widnes.
During her ten days there, Donatella is expected to peel potatoes, waitress and clean the bedrooms and men’s loos. And, at the end of each long, working day, she lives with the motel owners. Typically feisty, Donatella was undaunted by the prospect, saying, “I’ll be fine, I’m not afraid of hard work and I like a challenge.”
Since gracing our screens in 2000, Donatella’s vibrant personality, intelligence (she achieved top grades on her Journalism & TV Course at the London College of Journalism) and a healthy dose of hard work have helped her to begin realising her dreams of a career in TV presenting and acting. She has presented on GMTV’s fashion slot several times, acted on Noel’s House Party, Michael Barrymore’s show and Yes & No, and appeared in a number of adverts. Keen to demonstrate her intelligence and prove that she’s more than just a pretty face, Donatella also hopes to appear on an entertainment programme in the near future plus write a regular column.
Donatella has put her celebrity status to good use by doing her bit for charity – she has been involved with the NSPCC throughout 2004 and competed in 2004’s Celebrity Netball tournament to raise money for a breast cancer charity.
With further presenting and acting projects in the pipeline this Greek Goddess is really going places. Expect to see a lot more of her!
