Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform at the 56th 2014 Grammy Awards on Jan 26, although it is not confirmed whether they will collaborate or perform separately. Ellie Goulding’s album Halcyon spends a second week at number 1, beating Beyoncé’s self-titled fifth studio album. Ellie previously released Halcyon in October 2012 which failed to top the charts.

Alt-J have announced that Gwil Sainsbury will depart from the band following the “personal decision” to move on.

The Voice returned to our screens on Saturday with new mentors Kylie Minogue and Ricky Wilson. The first of the blind auditions hosted by Emma Willis and Marvin Humes pulled in an average 8.4 million viewers – over two million more than last year’s opening show.
