TimesTalks comes to London with Jeremy Piven and Damian Lewis

 

 
 
Created in 1998, TimesTalks are live, online and video conversations between New York Times journalists and 21st-century talents and thinkers. TimesTalks have entertained audiences throughout the US as well as over the years: Canada, Paris, Spain, Cannes Film Festival and the 2012 London Olympics. Guests have included the likes of Daniel Radcliffe, James Franco & Chris O’Dowd, Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, Ricky Gervais, and the cast of hit TV series Breaking Bad.

The International New York Times are now bringing the exclusive and live show to the Royal Institution in London on Wednesday 21st May, where journalists from one of the world’s most influential news organisations will engage in conversation with two of this generation’s most respected and sought-after actors: Jeremy Piven and Damian Lewis.
 
At 6pm, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning American actor Jeremy Piven talks with International New York Times culture editor Julie Bloom about his work on stage and screen.  He will discuss his experiences filming “Mr. Selfridge” in London for a worldwide audience, the upcoming film “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” and “Entourage” the movie, scheduled for release next year.

At 8pm, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning British actor Damian Lewis talks with International New York Times theatre critic Matt Wolf about his classic roles in plays by Shakespeare, Moliere and Ibsen, his television work, including the hit series “Homeland” and award-winning miniseries “Band of Brothers,” as well as his roles in the upcoming films “The Silent Storm,” “Queen of the Desert” and “Our Kind of Traitor.”
