Myleene Klass is to be a “Ship’s Godmother” for the first time and officially name the superliner “Carnival Splendor” in Dover. At 113,000 tonnes and carrying up to 4,914 passengers, the Carnival Splendor will be the largest passenger ship ever to sail from the Kent port chosen for this summer’s UK inaugural voyage departures. more

Paramount Pictures' eagerly-anticipated CLOVERFIELD, generated monstrous figures at the US box office this weekend, grossing an estimated $41m in its first three days of release.  Directed by Matt Reeves and produced by J.J. Abrams, the film averaged $12.020 from 3,411 theatres and broke the 11-year-old record for the biggest opening weekend gross for a film debuting in January. more
