From J.J. Abrams, the creator of Alias, and Damon Lindelof (Crossing Jordan) comes an action-packed adventure that brings out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost. In this game of Survivor, everyone wants off the island. After a terrifying plane crash onto a remote Pacific isle, 48 bewildered castaways scramble for safety while seeking answers. Where are they? What's that fearsome creature stalking them from the woods…and are they truly alone?
Some of the survivors have secrets of their own, and not all appear to be who they say they are. Stripped of everything, they scavenge what they can from the plane for their survival. The survivors include Jack (Matthew Fox, Party of Five) a doctor who is the first to assist the many injured survivors. Kate (Evangeline Lilly, Kingdom Hospital), who, with no medical training, suddenly finds herself nursing the doctor's wounds. Charlie (Dominic Monaghan, Lord of the Rings) is a faded rock star who harbours a painful secret. Sayid (Naveen Andrews, The English Patient) is a Middle Eastern man who must wrestle with the racism directed at him by some of his fellow survivors. Locke (Terry O‘Quinn) is a mysterious man who keeps to himself, and who harbours a deeper connection to the island than any of the others. And self-centred Shannon (Maggie Grace), who actually gives herself a pedicure amid the chaos, and her estranged controlling brother, Boone (Ian Somerhalder), constantly bicker and must learn to get along if they are to survive.
* The Lost pilot episode (1&2) was the most expensive ever made in the history of television, costing over 5 million dollars.
