Rachel Pierman

Ones To Watch

Wednesday 22nd February 2006

Rachel has a wonderfully upbeat approach to presenting and with a quick sense of humour, an ability to remain calm and cool even in the most difficult of situations plus a huge amount of experience in both pre recorded and live programming, she is a valuable asset to any production!

After a successful 14 month stint hosting Five’s live, hour-long, lunchtime quiz-show 'Brainteaser', Rachel went on to host their new daily live quiz show 'Memorybank'. She immediately brought her unique brand of warmth, charm and humour to the programme.

She is currently a regular face on Sky Interactive and is also a travel reporter and studio presenter on Thomas Cook TV. Other recent credits include live outside broadcast work for C4’s 'Richard & Judy'.

Rachel's live presenting experience began when she was chosen to co-host ITV2’s continuity links as the station launched in 1999. As well as performing live links she also helped prepare, produce and write for the show.

Rachel presented 'Living Live' for Living, and was a regular contributor to 'The Look' reviewing films and revealing celebrity gossip! She hosted a strand titled 'Star Secrets' on 'Taste Today' for the Carlton food Channel. This saw Rachel out on location extracting the secret eating and drinking habits of the rich and famous. The strand was such a success that Rachel was brought into the studio for live editions of the show. Rachel has also interviewed big Hollywood names for Carlton's arts entertainment programme Preview.

As well as presenting, Rachel also works within the corporate and commercial sector. She is currently presenting a monthly show for the Royal Bank Of Scotland and has worked for other clients on a repeat basis such as Unilever, Cosmo Girl, Grosvenor Casinos and The Prudential, often writing and presenting live shows or corporate videos.

Rachel is not only an accomplished television Presenter but she is also a trained actress. She studied at the renowned Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has appeared both on stage and in shows such as Heartbeat and Mcallum.

Rachel has worked throughout the UK (and Europe) and her professionalism and enthusiasm continually earn her high praise from all those she works with.

She is naturally relaxed in front of camera and is equally at ease either fronting a show solo or working as part of a team.
