In 1987 well known group WALL STREET CRASH auditioned over 2,000 hopefuls for a new singer/dancer. LOUIS went along and landed the job. Hit albums, royal performances and TV specials across Europe followed, but pressure for him to turn solo increased ‘....after four wild years and with a heavy heart I handed in my notice.‘

LOUIS received a call from the late lamented Jazz legend RONNIE SCOTT inviting him to join the elite on the Ronnie Scott‘s Jazz House label and record his first solo album called "Louis Hoover".

In the last three years LOUIS HOOVER has headlined in the US at Oregon Ridge Park, Baltimore to a capacity crowd of 6,000. Similarly in Europe, selling out venues like The Doelen, Rotterdam (cap. 4,500) with an eighteen piece orchestra. In the UK LOUIS has headlined at The Green Room - Cafe Royal, eight weeks at The Talk of London - Drury Lane, various European Jazz Festivals and regularly at Ronnie Scott‘s, London. In December, LOUIS played The Monte Carlo Sporting Club, Monaco.

In the spring of 2000 LOUIS received rave reviews for his portrayal of FRANK SINATRA in the critically acclaimed "FRANK, SAMMY and DEAN - The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas".

Spring 2001 saw him undertaking a nationwide tour with his "Salute to Sinatra" production, followed by his reprisal of the SINATRA role in a further tour of "FRANK, SAMMY and DEAN".

While LOUIS has been artfully getting his act together, a bandwagon has begun to roll with artists as diverse as HARRY CONNICK JR., SINEAD O‘CONNOR, NATALIE COLE, ROBERT PALMER and ELTON JOHN all jumping aboard with their own rendition of 40‘s and 50‘s. Now the time is right for LOUIS to take his place at the head of this new hit parade - because LOUIS is a purist. LOUIS is the real thing, as observed by his two sell-out performances at the London Palladium.
