Hotly tipped new artist MCKAY released her debut album on May 19th 2003.
Straight outta the Bronx, singer / songwriter STEPHANIE MCKAY has sung with the likes of MOS DEF, TRICKY and TALIB KWELI as well as being a guitarist in KELIS‘ band for the last couple of years.
For her debut album - which MCKAY wrote - she has collaborated with GEOFF BARROW from PORTISHEAD who has produced the album. It is the first time he has worked with anyone outside of the multi-million selling, award winning group.
The unlikely pairing has produced an album which is completely fresh, elemental and almost deviant.
