NINE DEAD GAY GUYS is the story of Kenny and Byron, two lads from Belfast, stumbling through London‘s underground gay scene in search of gainful employment to subsidise their giros. When their principal source of income meets an untimely end they are forced to look for ‘work‘ elsewhere. It is then that they discover the dual mysteries of the ‘Really Hard Red Bull Test‘ and ‘The Bread In The Bed‘, a bed packed full of cash belonging to an orthodox Jew named Golders Green. One has to pass the former to gain access to the latter. Challenge accepted. Nine Dead Gay Guys is the outrageous and hilarious result of the ensuing caper.
Nine Dead Gay Guys is the feature film debut from Lab Ky Mo, who was awarded the Carl Foreman Screenwriting Fellowship to California in association with BAFTA.
Irish newcomers, Glenn Mulhern and Brendan Mackey front a colourful cast, which includes Steven Berkoff (The Krays, Beverley Hills Cop), Michael Praed (Robin of Sherwood, Dynasty), Fish (of Marillion) and Vas Blackwood (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels).
A Little Wing Films production in association with 9 Films, Nine Dead Gay Guys will be distributed in the UK by guerilla films ltd. and is released on 19th September 2003.
