Born in 1965, Jezza`s first radio memory was what he describes as ‘...an indiscreet moment with a girl in Lyme Regis, next to the Radio 1 Roadshow stage...‘ . That was in the early 80s.
He was once a recruitment manager, then a salesman for radio station GWR as well as sales manager for Orchard FM.
Jezza`s on air career began in 1996 presenting an evening show on Kent‘s Invicta FM. Just seven months later, he was hosting his own show at Birmingham‘s successful BRMB. It was at BRMB he won a Sony Award for "Jezza`s Jukebox", which preceded another huge success, "Jezza`s Late & Live show". Two and a half years and a nomination for CRCA`s "Presenter of the Year" later, "Jezza`s Confessions" was broadcast on the Century Network. The show was networked across the country and gave ordinary people a platform to discuss their lives and associated problems. On July 1st 2002, Jezza`s Virgin Confessions arrived. Again, this was a platform for people to be open and honest on air about their lives whilst in return, Jezza would be honest with his advice. The show covered the entire range of human emotional, physical and addictive issues. Jezza not only drew on a wealth of personal knowledge and experiences when responding to callers but also welcomed input from an ever increasing listener base, which had been there and worn the "T-shirt" in many instances.
Off air, a dedicated production team were on hand to put callers in touch with help lines and support groups relevant to any given problem.
September of 2004 saw the start of "Jezza`s Capital Confessions" on London‘s 95.8 CapitalFM. Continuing to build on the experience and success of previous incarnations, Jezza and his production team remain steadfast in their efforts to tackle real life problems in a down to earth yet sensitive and helpful way. The slogan "You‘ll find it hard NOT to listen" has become synonymous with Jezza and his show in recent years.
On the home front, Jezza lives with his wife of two years, Carla and his new daughter Alice. Hattie, Jezza`s 15 year old daughter from his first marriage, visits every weekend and is often a match for her outspoken old man.
Jezza‘s show "Jezza‘s Capital Confessions" gives Londoners a chance to tell their personal real-life stories, but we have a secret - Jezza‘s real name is Jeremy Kyle.
