Debut Single: ‘One’
Parlophone Records are proud to announce the debut single by US pop prodigy Sky Ferreira. ‘One’ is an instant classic; a pop anthem of shimmering power sprinkled with insistent hooks, coupled with Sky’s own irrepressible playfulness.
The track is produced by Swedish maestros Bloodshy & Avant and Magnus and is co-written by them with Sky Ferreira and Swedish songstress Marit Bergman. It’s accompanied by a stunning video shot by world-renowned photographer Rankin in Sky’s native LA, who also shot an eight-page feature with Sky for Dazed & Confused.
‘One’ is the first taste of her debut album, due for release later this year, which sees the birth of a new pop superstar; mixing the dark heart of Blondie, the rock’n’roll edge of Courtney Love, the sexiness of a Prince protégé and the knowing sassiness of early Madonna. Not bad for a girl who’s just 17.
