Debut single ‘I’m Not Shy’ out 31st July
Lead singer Lauren, keyboardist Helena, guitarist Bryony and drummer Hayley make up Frank. You may have seen them recently as part of Channel 4’s hangover Sunday TV schedule in the show ‘Totally Frank’ but now they’re ready for the real world and release their infectious debut single ‘I’m Not Shy’ on 31st July.
Not just another bunch of boy-bashing girls, Frank are offering something fresh and funky on their debut album, which bristles with low-slung grooves, infectious melodies, warm electronic flourishes and effervescent pop gems.
The band co-wrote seven of the twelve tracks on their as-yet-untitled debut, which was recorded in LA and is due for release later in the year. The album has been produced and co-written by uber producer Brian Higgins and Xenomania, the Kent-based pop powerhouse, whose commercially and critically acclaimed work has powered hits for the likes of Sugababes and Girls Aloud, so it’s safe to say you can expect something special.
Bryony says of the band, “We’re not trying to be anything. We’re just being ourselves.” They are just what they are: completely exciting, absolutely committed and totally Frank.
Frank will be supported Girls Aloud on their recent 10 date UK tour, which started on 22nd May.
