The film was totally formulaic, predictable, cheesy, schmaltzy... and I loved every minute of it.
A real rib-tickler for fans of Ben Stiller‘s silly slapstick humour and dippy demented dialogue.
Vince Vaughn shines as Average Joe‘s gym boss Peter La Fleur and Rip Torn, one of my favourite actors who played Garry Shandling‘s stalwart producer Arty in the superb television series "The Larry Sanders Show" is inspired casting as veteran dodgeball hero and coach Patches O‘Houlihan. Cute Christine Taylor also impresses as the love interest.
