The Variety Club 55th Annual Showbusiness Awards, in association with SKY & Express Newspapers took place on 18th November 2007.and will be broadcast on SKY THREE on November 24th at 8pm, November 25th – Sky One.

The Caron Keating Award for Outstanding New Talent: Lee Mead
Stage Performance of the Year: David Suchet OBE
The Musical Theatre Award: Cabaret
The International Award: Jerry Springer
The Bernard Delfont Award for Outstanding Contribution to Showbusiness: Michael Parkinson CBE
Russ Kane, Chief Barker for the Variety Club said: “The Variety Club Showbusiness Awards reward the outstanding talent of 2007. As a children’s charity, Variety Club recognises emerging and existing talent in Show Business and raises vital funds to enable us to give sick, disabled and disadvantaged children the opportunity to realise their potential.”
Variety Club is enormously grateful to Express Newspapers, SKY and the Caron Keating Foundation for the ongoing and generous support shown for this event. Without their backing, the awards ceremony would not be possible.
Previous winners have included Matt Lucas and David Walliams for the “Comedy Award”, Kylie Minogue as “Showbusiness Personality of the Year”, Daniel Craig for “Outstanding Performance in a Film” and the Beatles for “Joint Showbusiness” Personalities.
