SHREK The Musical Press Night

On the night of June 14^th 2011, stars of West End’s newest hit musical, Amanda Holden (Princess Fiona), Nigel Lindsay (Shrek), Nigel Harman (Lord Farquad) and Richard Blackwood (Donkey), captured the fairy-tale enchantment and tongue-in-cheek humour of the Oscar award-winning animated film, Shrek, on stage.  The star-studded cast triumphed as they brought the film to life performing witty songs with awe-inspiring talent.  A celebrity filled audience attended the premiere with multiple standing ovations.  Among those walking down the green carpet were Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Harry Hill, Michael McIntyre,  Graham Norton, Adam Garcia, Elizabeth McGovern, Louie Spence, and Sarah Parish to name but a few.  The evening culminated with a spectacular after-party at Somerset House which, in keeping with the Shrek theme of the night, was illuminated with green lights as guests mingled with the cast.  

Other celebrities in attendance:  Ana Araujo, Melanie Blatt, Ozwald Boateng, Douglas Booth, Holly Branson, Isabella Calthorpe, Chipmunk, Tyger Drew Honey, Tom Fletcher, Jeremy Irvine, Alexis Jordan, Ramona Marquez, Matthew McNulty, Amy Molyneaux, Craig Roberts, Daniel Roche, Frank Skinner, Jodie Whittaker, Mark Gatiss, Angela Griffin, Haydn Gwynne, Jill Halfpenny, Isaac Hanson,Douglas Hodge, Jessica Hynes, George Lamb, Larry Lamb, Gary Love, Luke Treadaway, Lisa Maxwell, and Michael Winner also added to the night’s glamour as they enjoyed the premiere.
