Morgan Stanley Great Britons 2007 Awards Dinner

UPFRONT secured celebrity guests for the Morgan Stanley Great Britons 2007 Awards Dinner on Thursday 31st January 2008, 6.30pm, at The Guildhall, London, EC2P 2EJ.

In association with the Daily Telegraph, Morgan Stanley Great Britons, now in its fourth year, aims to celebrate outstanding British success and achievement within each year, encourage debate and greater understanding around the theme of Britishness, and honour positive role models for the nation.

Expert judges create shortlists of three people within the Arts, Business, Campaigning & Public Life, Creative Industries, Environment, Science & Innovation and Sport categories following public nominations across November. The final judging panel selected the category and overall Morgan Stanley Great Briton of 2007.

The winners were announced at a prestigious awards ceremony, attended by illustrious guests from a variety of fields such as arts, business, politics and sport on the 31st January in The Guildhall, London.

The winners in each category were: JK Rowling (Arts), Sir John Rose (Business), Jonathan Ive (Creative Industries), Shami Chakrabarti (Campaigning & Public Life), Tim Smit (Environment), Sir Martin Evans (Science & Innovation), and Lewis Hamilton (Sport).

Over the last three years keynote speakers have included US Vice President Al Gore, the Rt Honourable Gordon Brown MP and the Rt Honourable David Cameron MP.
