ABOUT CHAIN OF HOPE
Chain of Hope is a registered charity founded by leading heart surgeon Sir Magdi Yacoub. To help children from around the world receive the medical treatment they need, Chain of Hope sends volunteer surgeons, nurses and doctors to go overseas to operate on children suffering from life threatening heart disease.
Chain of Hope also brings children who are in urgent need of treatment to the UK. Additionally the charity helps to develop services LOCALLY in certain countries so that they can help the local population.
This November Chain of Hope will be sending a volunteer specialist team headed by leading surgeons from Great Ormond Street and the Royal Brompton Hospital who will ALL be donating their time and expertise to work alongside the local surgeons and team at Bustamante to treat as many children as possible.
Chain of Hope will be raising the funds for the consumables that will enable the operations to take place and to pay for the flights and accommodation of the team.
