Breaking Bad star Anna Gunn has been added to the cast of Criminal Minds spinoff pilot alongside Gary Sinise and Tyler James Williams. 

Matthew McConaughey is reportedly lined up to star in Born to Run, based on Christopher McDougall’s best-selling book Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen.

Jack Whitehall’s BBC Three comedy Bad Education is reportedly being turned into a movie. 

BBC Three’s Cuckoo which saw Andy Samberg star in the first season and Taylor Lautner in the second, is reportedly being remade for US TV.

Tim McGraw has been added to the line-up of performers at the Academy Awards next month. 

The Libertines have been announced as the first headline act for this year’s T in the Park.

Katie Holmes will have a “major guest starring role” in the third season of Sky Atlantic’s Ray Donovan. 

Director Paul Feig shared a picture collage of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon on Twitter yesterday, appearing to confirm the four actresses have been cast in the Ghostbusters reboot.

Emma Roberts and Dave Franco will reportedly star in the upcoming young adult thriller Nerve. 

Common and John Legend are confirmed to perform their Oscar-nominated track Glory at the Oscars next month.

The Hunger Games’ Liam Hemsworth is reportedly in line to star in Independence Day 2. 

Chris Pratt is reportedly being considered to play Indiana Jones in a possible revival of the movie from Disney. 


Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper’s war drama American Sniper has climbed to the top of the UK box office in its second week, with £2.5 million. 

Netflix has announced that Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, will premiere in Europe on February 9.

Bear Grylls is to front a new ITV show called Bear Grylls’ Mission Survive featuring eight celebrities trekking through a Central American rainforest over 12 days.

West End musical Made in Dagenham, starring Gemma Arterton, is to end its run in April after just six months. 

Fox has confirmed that it is in talks to develop a live action X-Men TV series. 

Nick Jonas has reportedly joined the cast of Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens in a recurring role. 

Adam Sandler’s first and upcoming Netflix movie Ridiculous 6 has cast Taylor Lautner, Dan Aykroyd, Terry Crews and Nick Nolte

Stanley Tucci has reportedly been cast as the villain in Patient Zero alongside Matt Smith and Natalie Dormer.

Glee star Melissa Benoist has been cast as Supergirl in CBS’s new series of the same name, which is being produced by Arrow and The Flash’s Greg Berlanti. 

Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp and Tye Sheridan have been cast as younger versions of Jean Grey, Storm and Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse.

NBC has reportedly ordered a pilot from Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta called The Curse of the Fuentes Women.

Idris Elba is reportedly developing a trilogy of films based on Marc Olden’s 1978 historic thriller Poe Must Die.
